The AEC
The AEC was born from an idea for the mother-daughter duo to share their love for art with educators everywhere. The AEC combines three things the duo loves (Arts, Ed, and Coffee). Together they build art lessons that explore an artist, genre, and foundations of art. They can be used in the brick-and-mortar or virtual classroom.
Michelle, Lady Wren,
I graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts, Harding University with a Master's of Arts in Teaching, and Arkansas State University with an Educational Specialist Degree in Leadership. She is currently working on a K-12 special education endorsement through Harding University. She taught 7th-9th grade visual arts for 8 years, where she gained the name Lady Wren. She now teaches K-9 art and K-6th special education virtually.
Angie, Art Master
Both parents were artists; and as a young child, I can remember creating “pastoral masterpieces” in chalk while my father, an architect by trade worked on floorplans for his clients. I was encouraged to let my creativity flow. Most recently I illustrated the children’s picture, All Is Assurdedly Well for authors Professor Gore and Maestro Wilson which received a starred review from Kirkus and was selected as one of seven Best Indie Children’s Books of 2018. I have a BA in Fine Art with a minor in black and white photography from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. I am also a disabled chronic complex migraine suffer. With the help of my family, healthcare team and my service dog, Burt I am able to create my art.
